SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Rookie strong safety Jaquiski Tartt missed practice for the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, a day after being limited with a knee injury.
He was joined on the sideline by defensive tackle Quinton Dial, who suffered a back strain in the Niners’ 32-17 loss at the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and inside linebacker Michael Wilhoite, out since re-aggravating an ankle injury against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 6. Dial has yet to practice this week.
Meanwhile, receiver Torrey Smith was downgraded from being a full participant in Wednesday’s practice to limited on Thursday with his back and foot maladies.
He referred to his first season with the Niners as “terrible” this week.
“I had high expectations for myself and I didn’t achieve any of them,” he said.
Following is the Niners’ injury and practice participation report for Thursday in advance of Sunday’s season finale against the St. Louis Rams at Levi’s Stadium.
