According to several reports, Oakland Raiders linebacker Miles Burris was wearing a boot at a community event several Raiders players attended in London on Tuesday.
The 0-3 Raiders are the home team against Miami at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The team will not comment on any injury issues until they begin their practice week Wednesday.
Burris has played every snap this season, mostly as a replacement at middle linebacker for Nick Roach, who has not played since suffering a concussion Aug. 22. Roach is with the team in London. Outside linebacker Sio Moore did not play in New England on Sunday because of an ankle injury.
Burris and fellow backup Kaluka Maiava started Sunday alongside rookie Khalil Mack. If Burris, Maiava and Moore can’t play against the Dolphins, the only other linebacker on the roster is undrafted rookie Bojay Filimoeatu and he’d be in line to start in that scenario. The Raiders also have undrafted rookie Spencer Hadley of BYU on the practice squad.
Meanwhile, receiver Rod Streater (fractured foot) reportedly made the trip to London, while safety Tyvon Branch (fractured foot) did not. Both players were hurt in New England. The team is also reportedly expecting quarterback Matt Schaub to join them in London soon. Schaub missed the New England game because his wife gave birth.
