ST .LOUIS -- The Chicago Cubs are a little closer to getting back to full strength as lead-off man Dexter Fowler returns to the starting lineup for the first time since injuring his ankle running the bases on Monday.
Kris Bryant also returns after leaving Thursday’s game with flu-like symptoms. Among regulars, only outfielder Jorge Soler remains out with an ankle sprain, and he should begin a rehab assignment in the minors shortly.
