GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has a sore foot after being stepped on, coach Bruce Arians said Saturday.
But Arians said Fitzgerald's foot pain was not "injury related."
Fitzgerald appeared to be limited during Friday's practice. Teams don't release injury reports during training camp. His reduced participation in practice might carry over to Saturday.
"I don't want it aggravated," Arians said.
Arians didn’t list off the Cardinals' injuries Saturday. The only addition to the list, he said, was safety D.J. Campbell (hamstring).
While he called Friday's practice "outstanding," Arians said he had to threaten a few young players with expulsion from practice for tackling veteran receivers.
Inside linebackers coach Larry Foote was excused from Saturday's practice and walkthrough to attend Jerome Bettis' Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The two were teammates in Pittsburgh from 2002-05.
Rookie linebacker Edwin Jackson's nickname is "pound cake," Arians said. It was given to the former Georgia Southern linebacker by Foote.
