Hot shooting carries No. 22 Oregon St women to 88-48 win
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Kat Tudor scored 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range and No. 22 Oregon State rolled to an 88-48 win over Arizona on Sunday.
Marie Gulich and Taya Corosdale added 13 points apiece for the Beavers (13-4, 4-2 Pac-12 Conference) and Mikayla Pivec had 10 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Gulich and McWilliams, who had six assists, both had 10 rebounds as Oregon State had a 49-22 rebounding advantage.
Arizona (4-13, 0-6) scored the last nine points of the first quarter to tie the game at 15 and trailed by one with 3:13 to go in the second quarter. Gulich scored seven points as the Beavers scored the last 10 to lead 38-27 at the break. Then Tudor and McWilliams opened the third quarter with 3-pointers and the rout was on.
From the mid-point of the second quarter, Arizona missed nine straight shots and went 3 for 26 carrying into the fourth quarter. Oregon State went from 8 for 23 to finish the game at 33 for 59 (56 percent), including 16 of 27 on 3's.
