No. 14 Louisville women beat Wake Forest 78-54
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mariya Moore sank five 3-pointers and scored 26 points on Sunday to lead No. 14 Louisville to a 78-54 win over Wake Forest and remain unbeaten in Atlantic Coast Conference play this season.
Asia Durr added 18 points while Myisha Hines-Allen and Briahanna Jackson had 10 apiece as the Cardinals (17-5, 9-0) cruised to their 14th straight win. Louisville went 19 for 25 at the foul line to Wake Forest's 9 of 11.
Trailing by five in the first quarter, Louisville took control with a 12-3 run that included two of Moore's 3-pointers and made it 20-16 with 6:31 to go before the break. The Cardinals then broke away in the fourth quarter with a 15-0 run fueled by Durr -- who had 11 points in the stretch -- and led by double figures the rest of the way.
Ariel Stephenson and Amber Campbell had 18 points each to lead Wake Forest (11-11, 2-7).
