TCU Horned Frogs @ Oklahoma Sooners
Pierre-Louis sparks No. 20 Oklahoma women past TCU 77-64.
NORMAN, Okla. -- Vionise Pierre-Louis had 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter and No. 20 Oklahoma pulled away from TCU for a 77-64 win on Saturday.
Kaylon Williams and Gioya Carter led the Sooners (15-6, 6-4 Big 12) with 15 points.
Jordan Moore's 3-point play with 8:04 remaining gave TCU a 55-52 lead but the Horned Frogs had five turnovers and two misses in their next six possessions and the Sooners ran off 10 straight points. Pierre-Louis started the run at 7:32 and ended it at 4:28.
Moore had another 3-point play at 3:56 but Gioya Carter answered with a jumper and Pierre-Louis followed with a 3-point play, making it 67-58 with 2:32 to go. After Jada Butts had a 3-pointer for the Horned Frogs at 2:10, the Sooners made all eight free throws in the final two minutes.
Butts' 16 points led TCU (12-9, 4-6), which has lost five times to ranked teams in the last nine games, including Oklahoma twice. The Horned Frogs shot 45 percent but the top 3-point team in the league was 2 of 15 behind the arc.
