No. 23 Missouri women beat Charlotte for 13th straight win
COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Jordan Frericks recorded her 20th career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, and No. 23 Missouri beat Charlotte 88-71 on Tuesday night for its 13th straight win.
Missouri, which has its highest ranking in the AP poll since Dec. 30, 1984, is 13-0 for the first time in program history. Their 13-game winning streak ties the program record.
Cierra Porter added 13 points and tied a career-high with nine rebounds for the Tigers, who made 51 percent of their 65 field-goal attempts.
Ciara Gregory had 17 points and five steals for Charlotte (7-4), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Freshman Grace Hunter had her season high with 15 points.
Charlotte was within 23-21 in the second quarter before Missouri went on a 15-3 spurt. Missouri had a 44-30 lead at halftime and held a 21-point lead after Juanita Robinson's 3-pointer with 5:36 remaining.
The crowd of 6,154 was the sixth-largest in program history.
