No. 11 Louisville women beat No. 19 South Florida 67-50
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Myisha Hines-Allen scored 25 points with 10 rebounds and No. 11 Louisville beat No. 19 South Florida 67-50 on Monday night.
Hines-Allen was 10 of 14 from the field for the Cardinals (20-6), who topped the 20-win mark for the fifth straight season. Mariya Moore scored 19 points and Arica Carter added 15.
Courtney Williams scored 25 points with 10 rebounds for South Florida (18-7). Freshman Kitija Laksa, who averages 13.7 points, was held to six on 2-of-9 shooting. The Bulls were just 3 of 14 from beyond the arc and 3 of 6 from the line.
Laksa's jumper with 1:58 left in the first half put USF up 27-22. But Louisville scored the last nine points of the half, including Carter's 3-pointer with six seconds left, and led 31-27 at intermission.
A 9-2 run to close the third quarter gave Louisville a 52-43 lead, and USF made just three buckets in the fourth quarter.
