No. 11 Kentucky women beat Vanderbilt 82-68
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Linnae Harper tied a career high with 22 points, Makayla Epps scored 18 and No. 11 Kentucky beat Vanderbilt 82-68 on Sunday.
Kentucky (18-5, 7-3 SEC) had an 8-3 run to lead 76-63 with 1:10 left and twice extended to its largest lead of 16 points on consecutive trips to the foul line in the final 34 seconds.
The Wildcats used a 6-1 run to take control midway through the second half, stretching a three-point lead to 60-52 with nine minutes left. Vanderbilt (13-11, 4-7) got no closer than 62-56 to drop its eighth straight to Kentucky.
Bria Goss had 13 points and Jennifer O'Neill added 12 points. Kentucky led only 32-31 at the break but never trailed in the second half.
Rebekah Dahlman led the Commodores with 20 points. Heather Bowe and Morgan Batey added 12 apiece. Vanderbilt led by as many as seven in the first half.
