No. 15 Texas A&M women hold off Arkansas in 59-55 win
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Courtney Williams scored 15 points and Chelsea Jennings got two key steals in the final eight seconds to help No. 15 Texas A&M hang on for a 59-55 win over Arkansas on Thursday night.
Courtney Walker added 14 points and Khaalia Hillsman had nine as the Aggies (19-6, 7-4 SEC) got the season sweep over Arkansas and extended their home win streak to 15. Walker and Hillsman also hauled in seven rebounds apiece.
Texas A&M took the lead for good with Curtyce Knox's 3-pointer midway through the first half that made it 22-19 and carried a 30-23 advantage into the break.
Arkansas cut the gap to 41-39 with Kelsey Brooks' 3-pointer with 11:31 left and stayed close the rest of the way.
Jennings got two of her four steals in the final eight seconds to hold off the Razorback surge.
Jessica Jackson led the Arkansas (14-9, 4-7) with 19 points.
