Greenwell sets mark for No. 11 Duke women in easy win
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Rebecca Greenwell scored 22 points and set a school freshman record for 3-pointers, Azura Stevens had a double-double with a career-high 14 rebounds and No. 11 Duke cruised to its 22nd straight win over Virginia 71-45 on Thursday.
The Blue Devils (19-6, 10-2 ACC), who won their sixth straight and reached 10 league wins for the 18th season in a row, held the Cavaliers (15-9, 5-6) to 36.5 percent shooting, including 2-11 from 3-point range. They forced 22 turnovers and had a 42-25 rebounding advantage.
Greenwell made all four of her 3-pointers to give her 53, passing Abby Warner (50) for the Blue Devils' class record and she is now seventh in scoring with 356 points.
Stevens moved up to fifth on the freshman rebounding list (186) and has moved into 10th on the freshman scoring list after finishing with 10 points against Virginia.
Sarah Imovbioh had 14 points for Virginia.
