DURHAM, N.C. -- Rebecca Greenwell made 4 of 8 3-pointers and finished with 21 points as No. 16 Duke beat Virginia Tech 65-40 on Thursday night.
The Blue Devils (12-5, 3-1 ACC) scored 17 straight in the first half to lead 30-16 with 6:26 left. Greenwell eclipsed double-digit scoring for the fifth straight game and Azura Stevens added seven points and 13 rebounds.
Vanessa Panousis had 14 points for the Hokies (9-9, 0-5), who led 16-13 but went scoreless for over eight minutes during Duke's 17-0 run.
Virginia Tech closed within 33-24 with 2:20 left but got no closer as Duke scored four straight to close the half up 37-24.
Duke shot 52.1 percent from the field and 8 of 16 from 3-point range while holding Virginia Tech to 24.6 percent overall and 9 of 33 from long range.
