No. 17 Oregon St beats Idaho 75-53, goes to 6-0
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Ruth Hamblin scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as No. 17 Oregon State beat Idaho 75-53, moving to 6-0 on Thursday for the first time since the 2000-01 season.
Hamblin recorded her fourth double-double of the season, and finished with six blocks. Sydney Wiese scored 16 points and shot 4 of 9 from beyond the arc. Jamie Weisner and Deven Hunter added 15 and 11 points for the Beavers, respectively.
Oregon State held a 10-point lead at the break. The Beavers took off in the second half with a 13-0 run -- which included six points from Hamblin -- for the largest lead of the game, 64-39, with 9:23 left to play.
Stacey Barr led Idaho (3-3) with 21 points and Christina Salvatore chipped in 12.
Oregon State (6-0) led all the way through, outscoring Idaho 34-18 in the paint and out-boarding the Vandals 53-40.
