Moses leads No. 25 Purdue past Ohio St. 74-58
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Courtney Moses scored 18 points and No. 25 Purdue made 27 of 29 free throws to turn back Ohio State 74-58 Thursday.
Liza Clemons added 14 points, April Wilson and reserve Whitney Bay both had 12 and Dee Williams added 10 for the Boilermakers (16-7, 6-5 Big Ten).
Ameryst Alston had 26 points for Ohio State (14-12, 4-6) and Raven Ferguson had 13 off the bench.
The Boilermakers led 33-24 at the half and pulled away by making all 22 of their free throws after the break.
It was Purdue's first game without senior point guard KK Houser, who is out with a left knee injury suffered against Michigan State on Sunday. Houser, who started 66 straight games, leads the team in scoring at 15.9 points and 6.2 assists. Wilson stepped up with 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Moses wore Houser's No. 22.
