KK Houser's 20 points lead No. 18 Purdue past IUPUI
INDIANAPOLIS -- KK Houser scored 20 points and led No. 18 Purdue to a 76-56 victory over IUPUI on Wednesday night.
Houser was 5-of-7 from the floor, 2-of-3 from 3-point range and 8-of-10 on free throws for the Boilermakers (2-0). She also had four steals and two assists. Teammate Courtney Moses had 13 points, two steals and one assist. Whitney Bays came off the bench to score 13 points with four rebounds, two steals and one assist. The Boilermakers hit 82 percent of their free throws.
Purdue led 32-26 at the half and was able to open up a 16-point lead by holding IUPUI (1-1) scoreless for the first seven minutes of the second half.
Katie Comello came off the bench to lead the Jaguars with 11 points and three assists. Starting forward Akilah Sims had 11 points, two rebounds and one assist.
