Purdue trumps IPFW despite Amanda Hyde's strong play
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Courtney Moses scored 19 points and Drey Mingo posted a double-double to lead No. 15 Purdue to a 69-54 win against IPFW on Thursday night despite 26 points from Amanda Hyde.
Moses shot 6 of 8 from the field. Mingo scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
KK Houser had 10 points and six assists, and Taylor Manuel came off the bench and scored 12 points, shooting 5 of 6 from the field.
Purdue was up 31-24 at halftime and led the entire game. The largest lead was 25 points with 2:56 remaining in the second half. The Boilermakers (8-1) shot 52 percent from the field for the game, while IPFW shot 31 percent.
Hyde had five rebounds, five steals and five assists to go along with her 26 points. Hillary Moore also had five rebounds for the Mastodons (3-5).
