News: 2 days agoFam (not injury related) generated 16 points (7-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 27 minutes in Spain's 79-59 FIBA World Cup win over Japan on Monday.
Spin: Although she didn't deliver her most efficient outing Monday, Fam still bounced back after scoring just four points on 2-of-7 shooting in Saturday's loss to Mali. The 20-year-old led Spain in rebounds and was the team's second-leading scorer, resulting in her lone double-double of the group phase. She had her contract temporarily suspended by the Storm ahead of the World Cup, and her next chance to play for the club will come against the Aces on Sept. 17. For now, Fam and Spain will prepare for the quarterfinals Thursday, when they'll face the winner of Wednesday's matchup between Italy and Australia.
