Former England defender Conor Coady has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.
Coady left Wrexham on August 31 by mutual consent and, having not joined another club, has decided to call an end to his playing career.
The centre back joined the Welsh side in August 2025 in what was a coup for Phil Parkinson's side but the move to the Racecourse never quite worked out and he played just six times, before going on loan to Charlton in January.
He announced his decision to step away from the game via an Instagram post, saying: "Lived the dream. Eternally Grateful, Thank you."
Coady played his final game of professional football on May 2 in a 3-1 defeat to Swansea with Charlton.
Coady made a total of 503 club appearances, beginning his career at Liverpool, before going on to represent Sheffield United, Huddersfield, Wolves, Everton, Leicester, Wrexham and Charlton.
He also earned 10 England caps, scoring his only goal in a 3-0 friendly win over Wales at Wembley and was a member of both the Euro 2020 and 2022 World Cup squads.
Coady was unveiled on Thursday as the new co-host of 'The Football Dugout,' a new weekly podcast with Mark Chapman.
He coached England U19s and England U21s last year before returning to Liverpool in September.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Coady said: "I'm trying to keep myself busy.
"I'm lucky enough to get the opportunity to go into Liverpool's U21s. I came through there. I'm doing a little bit of coaching with the boys, which has been brilliant.
"The lads at Liverpool are amazing with me. The players but also Jay Spearing and Rob Page, who gave me the opportunity to come in, mirror them a little bit, be in the office before training and look at how they plan a session.
"If they need numbers, I'll jump in and keep myself fit as well. That's what it's looking like at the minute."
