Local police have identified the Barcelona supporter that hit Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga with a flag during last weekend's Clásico at the Camp Nou.
LaLiga had reported the incident to the Spanish Football Federation's Disciplinary Committee and to the Anti-Violence Commission, stating that in the 87th minute of the game, as Madrid players celebrated the team's second goal, "a home supporter -- a member of the 'Grada Gol 1957' group -- seated in the Gol Sud stand, struck Camavinga with a flag."
The perpetrator could be fined up to €60,000 if the offence is classified as serious. In addition to the fine, the individual could be prohibited from entering sports venues for a period of between six months and two years.
LaLiga emphasised that Barcelona's security services have actively cooperated with the police in identifying the perpetrator and that the information will be forwarded to the club's Disciplinary Committee so that it may take the appropriate measures.
In the meantime, Barcelona, who suffered their first league loss of the season against Madrid, announced it has suspended the operation of Gol 1957, known as the "animation" section, for Saturday's league match against Alavés.
"The decision follows a series of disciplinary proceedings opened against the club and some of its members due to behaviour that goes against the values of sport," the club said.

"Such conduct exposes the club to financial penalties and the risk of stadium closure, as well as damaging its image.
"The club will meet with representatives of the groups that make up Gol 1957 to address the situation and establish the necessary commitments to ensure passionate and respectful support for the team without putting FC Barcelona's assets or reputation at risk.
"The club hopes that Gol 1957 can be fully operational again for the [Champions League] match against Aston Villa [on Nov. 3], provided that these discussions help resolve the situation and guarantee its proper functioning."
