Arteta labels Arsenal's second half vs. Lille as 'joy to watch' (0:39)

Eberechi Eze has spoken about dealing with the level of competitiveness in Arsenal's squad, saying "if you don't want to play you're not in the right place."

The midfielder found the back of the net in the 67th minute during the Gunners' game against Lille in the Champions League.

Mikel Arteta's much-changed side came away with a 3-0 win, with Jurriën Timber and Bukayo Saka also on the scoresheet after a dominant seven-minute stint at the Emirates.

But Eze has said that having a squad with so much depth in all areas of the team can be "difficult" at times.

"It's difficult. Of course every player wants to play and if you don't want to play, you're probably not in the right place," he told TNT Sports.

"The mentality is always to always be on the pitch and to affect games and to earn your place. I'm doing what I can and I'm enjoying the challenge. I'm enjoying what I'm doing, so that's the main thing."

Eze is yet to start a Premier League game this season and regularly competes for the No. 10 position with captain Martin Ødegaard.

Saka, who had only just arrived onto the pitch as a substitute, delivered to the onrushing Eze, who slammed it home.

"It's good," Eze added. "The type of players you're playing with, you're always linking, you're always finding spaces and you know that they are going to find you as well.

"It's really enjoyable and it's really fun, and as long as I'm doing that, I'm having fun."

The Gunners will be heading to Bayern Munich to continue their winning start to the league phase on Oct 21.
