Arsenal 2-1 Leeds: Premier League result, goals and reaction - as it happened

Arsenal resumed their Premier League campaign with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Leeds United, as Mikel Arteta's side joined Manchester City on 15 points at the top of the table.

Leeds, who were unbeaten so far this season, proved exactly why in the first half, as Daniel Farke' side frustrated Arsenal. The visitors were the better team, reducing Arsenal to just four shots on goal (lowest in five years), while Leeds went close with Gabriel Gudmundsson forcing David Raya into a good save on the stroke of half-time.

Arsenal remained off the pace after the break, and Leeds took a deserved lead in the 55th minute, as James Justin rifled the ball home from a narrow angle after running onto the end of Gudmundsson's low cross. Arteta's side were stunned, but immediately hit back seven minutes later as Riccardo Calafiori equalised, volleying home from Ben White's header back across goal.

Bruno Guimarães completed the comeback in the 70th minute, after running onto a superb backheel from Declan Rice on the edge of the box, before powering a low drive into the bottom corner. Arsenal had chances to close out the game further, but in the end, the 2-1 result was enough to ensure their winning run over Leeds continued.
