Luis Enrique has played down concerns about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's form as he looks to get Paris Saint-Germain moving up the table.
The Georgia international, who is among the nominees for this year's Ballon d'Or, has made an underwhelming start to the campaign and is yet to complete a full 90 minutes in Ligue 1.
He did score as PSG beat Aston Villa to win the European Super Cup but he has not found the net since.
"Kvara is a top, top player," Luis Enrique said ahead of Saturday's clash against promoted Le Mans. "He has shown that at key times.
"I'm very happy to have him in the squad but he's not a machine, he's a human being.
"It's normal to have highs and not so good moments. There's nothing to worry about."
PSG made a slow start to their title defence, failing to win any of their opening three Ligue 1 games.
They responded by winning their last two prior to the international break, away to both Brest and Marseille, and Luis Enrique hopes to keep the momentum going.
He said: "As a coach, you always try to show that we're a team. I'm the first to be critical of my players but, in analysing the start of the season, we deserve to have more points than we currently do.
"It's important to pick up points to build confidence. We started the season in a different way and it's an exciting challenge for us."
Le Mans have lost just once since returning to the top flight and are only two points behind the European champions after beating Lorient last time out.
Luis Enrique said: "They're a real team who play good football but we're at the Parc des Princes, with our fans, and we want to climb the table. That's why we're going to go for the three points."
"Le Mans have shown they can compete at this level. They play well with the ball and defend well too.
"We'll have to be even more aware than usual to handle the different phases of play.
"There are no easy games, especially after an international break. We're going to have some difficulties and we have to be ready to overcome them."
PSG are without midfielder Senny Mayulu, who suffered a thigh injury on international duty with France Under-21s.
Striker Ferran Torres and midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery face fitness tests on ankle and thigh injuries respectively.
