Whenever bitter LaLiga rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid clash in El Clásico, it's a match that the world watches.
The next time that happens will be later this month, when Barça host Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday, Oct. 25 (stream the match LIVE on ESPN+ in the U.S.).
But, just to add a little extra luster to a fixture that is already positively dripping in it, Puma has revealed their new bespoke match ball that is to be used for the two league meetings between Spanish football's twin heavyweights.
For the second year running, Puma has designed a special "ELCLASICO" ball which combines eye-catching colours and retro-tinged graphics to herald the monumental contest.
White with flashes of gold and black, the new ball is a custom variant of the official LaLiga 2026-27 match ball -- the Stellar Nitro Ultimate. It is an updated version of the inaugural Puma ELCLASICO model, a ball which was first used in October 2025.
On that day, Madrid beat Barça 2-1 at the Bernabéu thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham. However, Madrid coach Xabi Alonso was fired three months later, and Barça had the last laugh as they retained their LaLiga crown and helped consign their rivals to a second consecutive season without a major trophy.
Barça have made a flying start to the 2026-27 season, winning all seven of their league games so far and scoring 31 along the way. Madrid are six points and three points below them in the table, so they will already be facing a crucial point in their season when they travel to Catalonia in just over three weeks' time.
