Aston Villa have confirmed that the club parted ways with Natalia Arroyo on Monday evening after a tough run of games that ended in a 4-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Arroyo was appointed in January 2025 and rescued a struggling Villa to a ninth-place finish.
This season did not start well for Aston Villa despite a 1-1 draw with Chelsea -- the first time the club has taken points off the former champions -- on the opening day, suffering another draw with Brighton and two defeats to Spurs and Manchester City.
Villa are in 13th place with two points, level with Brighton and Birmingham.
Former Everton manager and current Villa Women's Technical Advisor Brian Sorenson will take charge in the interim.
Aston Villa face Newcastle in the Players Cup on Wednesday before facing Crystal Palace in the league on Sunday.
