Alexia Putellas scored her first Women's Super League (WSL) goal as she helped London City Lionesses cruise to a 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday.
The two-time Ballon d'Or winner opened the scoring in the 29th minute, taking a neat touch before finishing cleanly past Chiamaka Nnadozie to put the hosts in control.
Lucía Corrales doubled the lead in stoppage time, sweeping home at the far post from Delphine Cascarino's low cross to seal all three points.
"I'm so happy, I'm so proud," Putellas told Sky Sports post-match. "The most important thing is we got three points here.
"It's a new challenge for everyone, we want to build something special here and we have to keep pushing and showing up for each other. We want to give our best this season."

The result lifts London City into second place behind defending champions Manchester City, with three impressive wins and a draw from their opening four WSL games.
Putellas joined from Barcelona this summer after 14 trophy-laden years at the club, as part of an ambitious transfer window that also saw the arrivals of Kadidiatou Diani, Mapi León and Mary Earps, among others.
The World Cup winner has started every game for London City and now has a goal and assist, having set up Isobel Goodwin in a convincing 4-1 win over Charlton Athletic last weeekend.
