Gary Neville branded Manchester United's early second-half display against Fulham as the worst he had seen in more than 45 years.
United were fortunate to leave Craven Cottage with a 1-1 draw after Matheus Cunha's late deflected effort snatched a point, but they had earlier gifted the hosts a comical own goal from Lisandro MartÃnez.
It came in the 63rd minute, capping a lethargic, error-strewn start to the half, and the goal felt fittingly surreal, Senne Lammens fumbling a tame shot with his legs and Martinez then tucked the ball past him as the goalkeeper struggled to find his balance.
During Sky Sports' coverage former United defender Neville described that period of the match as "absolutely pathetic."
"I've watched Man United since the age of five and that's the worst 15 minutes I've ever seen," Neville said.
"Absolutely pathetic. I've never seen such a lack of effort. What must [Michael] Carrick be thinking?"
Neville later explained his stance: "I was purely referring to the fact that they walked around the pitch. I have never seen Manchester United walk as much as that.
"Michael has got to stop defending them. I get why he's defending them, he is loyal and wants his players to work for him. There is a long way left in the season.
"I called them mannequins. I have never seen a Manchester United team, for 15 minutes, walk around as much as that. No alerts, not on your toes, you should always be on your toes, there was no shifting up two or three yards. Just walking when Fulham were in possession.
"There needs to be a rebalance. I wish he could play the attacking players but they are going to kill him defensively."
Neville added: "Not running is the only thing that I will call a disgrace."

A draw left United without a win in three Premier League games and means they will spend the international break in the bottom half of the table.
United made it their joint-lowest points return after five matches in the Premier League after failing to beat Fulham, previously set in 2014-15. That season under Louis van Gaal saw the team win only one of those opening five, 4-0 at home to QPR, although they recovered well and went on to finish fourth.
