Andoni Iraola's Liverpool side followed their impressive win over Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League with a disappointing goalless draw against Fulham, leaving them seventh in the table.
Despite a summer of spending, Roberto De Zerbi's side have yet to score in four league games, leaving them in seventeenth place, although they did put five past Charlton in the previous round of the EFL Cup.

Anfield's fear factor has gone missing
Spurs have won just once in their last 18 visits to Anfield. Liverpool have scored ten times in the last three games at home against Tottenham. Roberto De Zerbi's side are seventeenth in the table while Andoni Iraola's side are unbeaten in seven.
Yet, Liverpool aren't overwhelming favourites going into the game, and that speaks volumes. Anfield's cauldron isn't as crippling for the opposition anymore, as Fulham and Nottingham Forest displayed. They were two draws achieved in differing ways - Forest opted to hit on the counter and even generated more xG than Liverpool, while Fulham were dogged in defence and earned a goalless draw.
Liverpool's injuries have robbed Iraola of rotation options, and given the high physical demands of his style of football, this can catch up to his players. The Spanish manager even admitted his players weren't fresh, and that could leave the door open for Spurs.
Where will the goals come from for Spurs?
Roberto De Zerbi must have had different ideas of making club history at the start of the season, not going scoreless for the first four league games. Ironically, Spurs did dominate the ball against Everton, and even had twice as many touches of the ball in their opponent's box as David Moyes' side.
Yet, their 14 shots on goal only accounted for 0.69 xG - and that's where the problem has been for Spurs. Their attackers are taking low percentage shots in desperation, and the 'mental block' that De Zerbi alluded to as expla - nation won't find easy answers against Liverpool.
The Italian manager hasn't helped matters with constant changes to his XI and shape - although with Liverpool likely to leave themselves open to a counter-attack, Spurs might finally find their scoring boots.
