There is a full slate of matches this weekend across Europe on Saturday, with several leagues beginning their 2026-27 seasons!
In the Premier League, Manchester United kicked off their season with a woeful 2-0 defeat away to newly promoted Hull City. Then Everton won 2-0 at home against Crystal Palace, Ipswich Town defeated Sunderland 2-1, and Nottingham Forest conceded a late goal to lose 1-0 vs. Leeds United.
In an all-London matchup, Brentford dealt a serious blow to Tottenham Hotspur with a 3-0 victory. Elsewhere across the continent, Bayern Munich won the German Super Cup with a 2-1 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund, and in LaLiga, Espanyol conceded a very late goal to Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho won his first match back in the Spain capital 2-1.
