Manchester City will host defending champions Paris Saint-Germain and travel to Spotify Camp Nou to face Barcelona during this year's Champions League league phase.
The difficult draw sees the Citizens pitted against PSG for the second time in three seasons, with the French champions having come from two goals down in 2024-25 to win 4-2 at the Parc des Princes and consign City to the playoff round.
Elsewhere, Enzo Maresca's side were drawn against Portuguese pair Sporting CP (home) and Porto (away) from Pot 2. They have also received two tricky assignments from Pot 3 -- they will host Napoli at the Etihad Stadium and travel to Germany to face RB Leipzig.
Their remaining two fixtures are against AEK Athens at home, and Lens away.

City have endured an uncharacteristically poor last two seasons in the competition. Last year, they made it into the round of 16 as the eighth-highest finishers in the league stage, but were comprehensively beaten 5-1 on aggregate by a Real Madrid side powered by the excellent Federico Valverde.
Madrid were also responsible for Pep Guardiola's side's exit from the competition in each of the previous two seasons before that.
In 2024-25, the Spanish side won 6-3 on aggregate after a dramatic comeback in the first leg. A year prior, Madrid won on penalties after the teams drew 4-4 over two legs in the quarterfinals.
It means that, remarkably, Real Madrid are the only side to have knocked City out of the competition since the Manchester side won it as part of their treble in 2022-23.
