AC Milan coach Ruben Amorim said he felt "nothing" facing former club Manchester United as he insisted he is now exactly where he wants to be.
Amorim's Milan beat United 4-2 in their final preseason friendly on Saturday, giving the Italian side their first victory of the summer ahead of the start of the Serie A campaign.
The Portuguese coach endured a turbulent 14 months at Old Trafford before taking charge of Milan in June, but said there was little added emotion attached to coming up against his former side.
"No. For me, it was just a normal match," Amorim told Sky Sport Italia. "Since I signed with Milan, I've felt nothing about Manchester United.
"I'm just proud to have been at Man United and I still love the club, but after signing with Milan, I [feel] nothing bad about anything because I'm very happy, because I'm in the place where I want to be. I just want to continue here.
"Of course, it was special to play against them again, but I wanted to win a game this preseason to present ourselves well in our league, to give a good image to our fans, so they can support us in our first match."
Milan came from behind to secure the 4-2 victory over United, thanks to goals from Samuel Chukwueze, Alphadjo Cissè, Gonçalo Ramos and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Amorim's side kick off their Serie A campaign next weekend, at Torino.

Amorim also addressed a number of issues surrounding his squad after the game, including the future of Rafael Leão and his decision to leave several players out of his plans.
He said Leão will have to "fight for his place" amid competition from the likes of Christian Pulisic and Alexis Saelemaekers, while adding that he did not believe the Portugal international's injury was serious.
Amorim also confirmed that Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot had been given additional time off at his request and would return to Milan on Sunday to prepare for the opening league fixture.
