Raúl Jiménez scored a late penalty off the bench as Wolves rescued a 2-2 draw at home to Blackburn in opening game of the 2026-27 EFL Championship.
Marshall Munetsi put Wolves in front early on before a superb Sean McLoughlin header drew Rovers level.
A near-post finish from Andri Guðjohnsen then saw Blackburn lead in the second half, during which the hosts struggled to create chances and found themselves frustrated.
But Jiménez, having come off the bench, converted from the spot after a handball went against Ryan Alebiosu in stoppage time.

César Peixoto has taken charge at Wolves, who have made additions in their bid to return to the top flight, with Kieran Trippier and former striker Jiménez among their summer signings.
They began their competitive campaign with a 3-0 Carabao Cup victory over Port Vale last week.
Blackburn, meanwhile, began their ninth successive season in the Championship after finishing 20th last term.
Tony Mowbray has returned for a second spell in charge at Ewood Park, four years after leaving the club.
Rovers have added the likes of Sam Morsy and Jayden Fevrier to their squad and also opened the season with a Carabao Cup victory, coming from behind to beat Burton Albion 2-1.
