Udinese beat Spanish champions Barcelona and Premier League side Nottingham Forest on Saturday to win the inaugural Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup.
Vakoun Issouf Bayo struck a last-minute winner as the Italian team won 1-0 against Barça after both sides had earlier beaten Forest by the same scoreline.
The triangular tournament was played in an irregular format of three 45-minute matches back-to-back at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, Italy.
The round-robin kicked off with hosts Udinese beating Forest 1-0 in a cagey affair.
Defender Oumar Solet scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute, rising highest from a corner to send a powerful header past Matz Sels.
There was much more entertainment in the next game between Barça and Forest, although it took a stoppage-time Raphinha penalty to settle the match in the LaLiga side's favour.
Morgan Gibbs-White hit the woodwork for Forest, Dan Ndoye was denied by Wojciech Szczęsny and Igor Jesus headed just wide.
Barça also had their chances. Youngster Brian Fariñas hit the post and Hamza Abdelkarim was denied by Sels, who could not keep out Raphinha's late spot kick after Nikola Milenković had handled.
That set up a showdown between Udinese and Barça to decide the mini-tournament.
Despite fielding an inexperienced team, with their eight World Cup-winning Spain internationals still on holiday, in addition to Jules Koundé and Anthony Gordon, Barça had the majority of the possession in the 45-minute game.
Ebrima Tunkara, still just 16, looked comfortable moving forward with the ball, but the Catalan side lacked a cutting edge.
Udinese, meanwhile, started strongly, lost their way in the middle of the game and then finished well, stealing the game on the counter attack in the final minute.

A quick break ended with Issouf Bayo alone in the box and the Ivory Coast forward lifted the ball over Szczęsny confidently to secure the Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup.
Udinese turn their attention to competitive football next weekend when they take on Padova in the Coppa Italia, but Barça and Forest still have more friendlies to come.
Barça play Basel in Switzerland next weekend and then host Egyptian side Al Ahly at Spotify Camp Nou in the Joan Gamper Trophy on Aug. 19.
Forest still have games to come against Bayer Leverkusen and Brest before their Premier League campaign gets underway against Leeds United later this month.
