World Cup stars Vozinha, Salah treated to mad transfer unveilings

          The World Cup may be over, but that hasn't quelled the stardom of its most-viral goalkeeper, Vozinha, or Africa's most storied player, Mohamed Salah.

          Vozinha arrived at the World Cup as an unheralded journeyman goalkeeper for Cape Verde but left as one of the most recognisable players in world football, due mainly to his heroic performance in his country's tournament opener against Spain.

          The latest chapter in Vozinha's dramatic ascent came on Thursday when he was given a hero's welcome as he was unveiled in front of a packed crowd at Chilean side Colo Colo, who he has joined on a free transfer.

          Colo Colo pulled out all the stops for the Cape Verde star, including visualising the word "AURA" on the pitch and putting some of their 34 league titles on display, as well as having a man parachute into the David Arellano Monumental Stadium to hand him his No. 29 jersey.

          He was also treated to various musical acts, including from Argentine band Garras de Amor.

          Vozinha wasn't the only new signing being unveiled in world football, though.

          Liverpool legend Salah, who was a free agent this summer after leaving the club by mutual consent, signed with Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor on Thursday and was greeted by thousands of fans.

          Salah's welcome began at the airport, where he was mobbed by fans as he wore the club's No. 61 jersey -- a number that is an iconic symbol in Trabzon -- before later emerging in his favoured No. 10.

          From there, he travelled to sign his contract and even took part in his first training session before being unveiled at the club's Senol Gunes Stadium in front of a deafening crowd, many of whom were carrying pyrotechnics.
