Japan had to find an equaliser twice against Netherlands in Group F to share the points after an enthralling second half in Arlington.

The Dutch had never failed to win a World Cup match in which they led twice, but that changed after a late Japan corner found the back of Bart Verbruggen's net.

Here's how it happened.

- Hamilton: Scotland make 28-year World Cup drought worth the wait on winning return

- Dawson: Bailed out by Vinícius Júnior, Brazil are still a work in progress

After a goalless first 45, the game came to life after Virgil van Dijk headed home his first goal in a major international tournament, after a cross in from his Liverpool teammate Ryan Gravenberch.

Just six minutes later, Keito Nakamura got Japan level from the edge of the area, before Crysencio Summerville's superb low finish restored the Dutch advantage

And while it looked like Ronald Koeman's men were going to get over the line, a late corner was headed on via Daichi Kamada to rescue a point for Japan.
