Representing your country on a global stage is an honor for any soccer player. But only a select few have done it at both the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. An even slimmer selection of men have won a World Cup and captured Olympic gold.
After the 2026 World Cup, which was played from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico, 20 men have accomplished the feat. Spain's 1-0 victory in extra time over Argentina added 5 player's to the exclusive club.
Marc Pubill, Eric García, Pau Cubarsí, Álex Baena and Joan García were all members of the Spanish Olympic team that defeated France 5-3 in the gold medal match at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
