Claire Emslie of Angel City opened the scoring with a penalty conversion in the second half and Marta equalized for Orlando Pride late in Friday's 1-1 draw at Inter&Co Stadium.

Marta's goal came from a left-footed shot from the center of the box, assisted by Angelina with a cross following a corner.

The first half saw both teams struggling to find their rhythm, with neither side able to break through despite several attempts. Orlando's Julie Doyle had an early chance that was saved, while Messiah Bright missed high for Angel City after being set up by Emslie.

Angel City's breakthrough came when Meggie Dougherty Howard drew a foul inside the penalty area. Emslie stepped up to convert from the spot at the 53-minute mark.
