England v Australia
Australia salvage draw against dominant England
England were made to settle for a 1-1 draw against Australia in their international women's friendly on Tuesday at Craven Cottage.
Matildas defender Clare Polkinghorne nodded home a late equaliser for the visitor after Phil Neville's side squandered a number of opportunities to wrap up the win.
Fran Kirby fired England into the lead in the 21st minute, blasting home from inside the box after some good build-up play from Beth Mead.
The hosts then had two appeals for penalties turned down, as well as a goal disallowed, in a dominant performance ahead of next summer's World Cup in France.
Eventually England were made to rue their misfortune and missed chances as Polkinghorne rose highest to head home Australia's equaliser in the 84th minute.
