Ilija Nestorovski earned Palermo their first victory of the Serie A season with a late winner against Atalanta.

Both sides have had disappointing starts to the campaign and for the majority of the match it looked like they would cancel each other out at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

Nestorovski had come closest to a goal in the 17th minute with a shot from close range that hit the left-hand post.

He must have thought that would be his best chance as the clock ticked down but, in the 89th minute, the Macedonia striker found the bottom corner from Mato Jajalo's cross.
