Ayr v Morton
O'Ware fluffs his lines
Ayr's long winless run continued in a 1-1 draw with Morton, who missed the chance to grab all three points when Thomas O'Ware blazed over a late penalty. The Honest Men have not won since beating Morton on October 18 but they at least avoided a 10th defeat in 12 as O'Ware fluffed his lines in the 77th minute.Peter MacDonald missed a host of first-half chances for the visitors and the hosts made him pay with the opening goal 37 minutes in.Goalkeeper Grant Adam punched a corner out to Morgyn Neill, who lifted it back over the shot-stopper and into the net. However, just two minutes into the second half, Morton were level, with MacDonald providing the cool finish. And the visitors had the chance to win it when awarded a penalty late on, yet O'Ware squandered the chance by drilling the spot-kick into the crowd.
