Mbappé double gives Madrid Clasico win over Barcelona

Real Madrid cut the gap on LaLiga leaders Barcelona to three points after Kylian Mbappé struck a late winner in a 2-1 win at the Nou Camp on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho's side looked set to miss the chance to put pressure on Hansi Flick's champions when Raphinha levelled the game at 1-1 just past the hour.

Mbappé's goal in the first half had Barça facing their first defeat of the season, but with the match heading for a draw the visitors hit them again in the 87th minute.

The winner was made by Jude Bellingham, showing good skill to release Eduardo Camavinga who cut back for the France international to fire in.

The champions had won all nine league matches so far this season and were looking to preserve their six-point advantage over Madrid, who despite the win stayed third.

Barça's lead at the top stayed at two points from Atletico Madrid as the title race was left looking far tighter than it might have after such an electric start to the campaign from Flick's side.
