Stevenage v Bury
Honours even at Lamex
Play-off hopefuls Stevenage and Bury failed to break the deadlock as the sides played out a 0-0 draw at the Lamex Stadium, despite plenty of huffing and puffing. The home side were looking to end a three-game losing streak but never really tested the Shakers defence as both sets of forwards had a day they would want to forget. An early in-swinging Chris Hussey corner forced Stevenage keeper Chris Day into a diving punch as Bury started the brighter.Danny Mayor also shot wide for the visitors before Boro's Bruno Andrade forced on-loan Charlton stopper Nick Pope into action at the other end.Danny Rose's attempted backheel from a Mayor cross was the closest either side came to a goal before the interval.Ben Kennedy had a fantastic chance to put the hosts in front on the hour mark but his shot from outside the area was well wide.Rose thought he had put the Shakers ahead shortly after only for the offside flag to ruin his celebrations.Andrew Tutte had the best chance of the game with 15 minutes left, but his excellent free-kick was well-saved by Day as Bury departed the happier of the two sides.
