Bordeaux-Begles leave it late to beat Ulster

Three tries in the final six minutes saw Bordeaux-Begles overturn a seven point deficit to beat Ulster 28-13 in the European Champions Cup at Stade Chaban-Delmas.

Les Kiss' side were resolute in defence for large portions of the match, and looked to have done enough to return to Belfast with the points as they led 13-9 with 10 minutes remaining after a first half try from captain Andrew Trimble, and two penalties off the boot of Paddy Jackson.

But the continued pressure from the hosts inside Ulster's 22 eventually took its toll on the Pro12 leaders.

Replacement prop Sébastien Taofifenua burrowed over from close range to swing the pendulum the way of Bordeaux who turned the pressure up thereafter.

Fellow replacement Metuisela Talebula broke clear from the restart and found Baptiste Serin in support close to the try line. Ulster's Sean Reidy made the cover tackle to prevent the try but referee JP Doyle deemed the Ulster No.8 to have taken out Serin before he had the ball, handing Bordeaux a penalty try and Reidy a yellow card.

Bordeaux flier Blair Connor added insult to injury for Ulster with a counter attack try in the 80th minute.
