Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn suffered a torn quad and is out indefinitely, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Monday.
Horn will seek a second opinion, sources said, but he is headed for injured reserve and could miss the rest of the 2026 season.
He suffered the injury on the Cleveland Browns' game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter Sunday.
The injury news was better for wide receiver Jalen Coker. A source told Rapoport that Coker suffered a minor quad strain during the loss to the Browns and will be considered questionable for "Sunday Night Football" against the Detroit Lions.
Coker, who also had been dealing with an ankle injury, played throughout the first half before ultimately leaving the game. He has 18 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns this season.
Other players who left Sunday's game at various points because of injuries were quarterback Bryce Young (lower body), cornerback Mike Jackson (groin) and left guard Damien Lewis (elbow). Young and Lewis, who were inspected by trainers, both returned to the field in the second half.
Carolina also played Sunday's 21-18 loss without linebacker Devin Lloyd, who had been ruled out with a calf injury a week after recording two interceptions and scoring a touchdown during a win over the Atlanta Falcons.
The Panthers have a bye in Week 5.
