JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Travis Hunter may see an increased role on offense Sunday against the Patriots.
Hunter has played 11 offensive snaps in the Jaguars' first two games and head coach Liam Coen said Wednesday that "we're going to look at giving him some more this week."
Hunter has one catch for 8 yards and one carry for 3 yards, both of which came in the Jaguars' 34-10 season-opening victory over the Browns. He played four snaps against Cleveland and seven snaps in last Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Broncos.
"Any time you struggle offensively, you look at the totality of it all," Coen said. "Travis is a big part of that obviously. We're looking at continuing to find different ways to get him involved."
The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner had 28 catches for 298 yards and a touchdown last season in the first seven games before missing the rest of the season because of a knee injury. He played 67% of the team's offensive snaps and 36% of the defensive snaps until his injury.
Hunter has played 62 defensive snaps in 2026 and has five tackles and one pass breakup.
