NFL suspends Saints rookie WR Brock Rechsteiner for 6 games

NEW ORLEANS -- Saints wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner was suspended by the NFL for the first six games of the regular season, according to the league's transaction wire.

No reason was given for the suspension.

Rechsteiner will still be allowed to practice during training camp and play in preseason games. His suspension will begin after the roster is reduced to 53 players on Aug. 30.

Rechsteiner, whose father is WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Scott Steiner, was signed by the Saints as an undrafted rookie after rookie minicamp in May. The 23-year-old has been competing for a spot on the Saints' 53-man roster.
