News: 1 day agoGordon rushed 18 times for 88 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
Spin: Gordon turned in a useful fantasy performance in the lead role once again, even as he navigated a brief exit from the game due to an undisclosed injury in the second half. The second-year back was able to still handle a robust workload despite the Dolphins trailing for the majority of the game, and he finished with a new career high in rush attempts. Gordon also recorded a rushing touchdown for the third straight game when he went in from one yard with just over eight minutes remaining in the first quarter, and he should continue to helm Miami's ground attack in a Week 7 road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 25, following a Week 6 bye.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Gordon is battling Jaylen Wright for backup work behind lead back De'Von Achane in Miami. Gordon was used sparingly as a rookie and didn't exactly move the needle. The 2025 sixth-round pick averaged an ugly 2.84 yards per carry on 70 attempts and 3.6 yards per target on the nine balls thrown his way. Gordon is still very young (22 years old), and his size (6-foot-1, 226 pounds) adds to his long-term intrigue. He'll have some insurance appeal if he beats out Wright for primary backup duties.
