News: 1 day agoHarris (undisclosed) did not play in the Chargers' 20-18 preseason loss to the Rams on Thursday.

Spin: Harris will end up not playing a single preseason game, missing the last two while working through an undisclosed injury. Despite the lack of playing time, there's no indication that the 2025 second-rounder is in jeopardy of missing the Chargers' regular-season opener against the Cardinals on Sunday, Sept. 13. Following the departure of Keenan Allen, Harris figures to serve as the Chargers' WR3 this season behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Harris is a Year 2 breakout candidate after flashing in a limited role as a rookie. The 2025 second-round pick quietly played 49% of the Chargers' offensive snaps, but he spent a lot of that blocking and was limited to an 8% target share. Harris is likely to open the 2026 season behind Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston, but with Keenan Allen gone, his competition for No. 3 duties is 2025 fifth-round pick KeAndre Lambert-Smith and rookie Brenen Thompson. A potential starter in new playcaller Mike McDaniel's offense, the 24-year-old Harris is an intriguing late-round sleeper.
