News: 5 days agoTracy rushed six times for 26 yards, caught all three of his targets for 22 yards and lost a fumble in Saturday's 26-3 preseason win over the Dolphins.

Spin: Tracy split carries with Devin Singletary in the first half while Cam Skattebo and the newly signed Najee Harris didn't see any action. For the second time in as many preseason games, Tracy made a key mistake. After whiffing on a pass block in the preseason opener, Tracy fumbled in the red zone Saturday. Tracy averages a solid 4.3 yards per carry and 7.7 yards per catch in his regular-season career, so the 2024 fifth-round pick could still be a key part of the Giants' backfield plans in 2026, but he needs to clean up the errors to avoid landing in head coach John Harbaugh's doghouse.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tracy is set to compete with Devin Singletary for opportunities in a Giants backfield led by second-year back Cam Skattebo. Tracy has produced 200-plus touches and 1,000-plus yards in each of his first two NFL seasons, but that doesn't tell the full story. Tracy got there as a fifth-round rookie in 2024 by impressing and taking New York's starting gig by Week 5. Last season, he quickly lost lead-back duties to Skattebo, but played a much larger role once Skattebo went down for the season with an injury (9.0 touches per game during Weeks 1-9, but 18.6 per game from Weeks 10-18). Tracy has no standalone fantasy value, but he's effective as a rusher and receiver. That makes the 26-year-old a solid backup who would be worth adding if Skattebo misses additional time.
