Spin: The veteran is in the final year of his contract after an injury-shortened 2025 that limited him to 10 regular-season games. Hill is also playing under a new coaching staff and an offensive coordinator, so it will be interesting to see whether his role evolves or other options emerge as Derrick Henry's backup. Hill has been healthy for the preseason and hasn't appeared in either preseason game, which is seemingly a good sign for his standing on the depth chart.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hill heads into his seventh NFL season positioned for a larger role following the offseason departure of Keaton Mitchell. Derrick Henry remains the team's lead rusher, but he plays only about half of the snaps, leaving plenty of opportunity for Hill, particularly in passing situations. We've seen Hill in that role recently, including a 2024 campaign in which he posted a 42-383-3 receiving line on 55 targets (11th most among backs). Of course, Hill isn't trusted with much rushing work (his career high in carries is 84), which is why he has never had a top-35 fantasy campaign in his career. The 28-year-old has a limited ceiling and would be on the flex radar in PPR formats only if Henry were to miss time.
